INTERNATIONAL CONTEMPORARY CRAFTS FAIR, BRUGES (B)

The Belfry, the meeting point of past and present in Bruges, symbolises privilege, the guilds and craft societies from yore. In earlier times, the covered marketplace was the centre of commerce; nowadays the Belfry keeps the memories of its rich past alive as a classified monument. The Belfry, which is situated in the historical centre of the town, is accessible to the public, radiating the positive energy of ancient traditions. It bids the applied arts welcome as it has done for many centuries, thus cultivating a rich exchange of culture and economy between Belgium and the rest of the world.
Artifact takes great pleasure in inviting a select group of contemporary designers and makers who are masters in their field of the applied arts.
Artifact offers the chance to discover the makers of contemporary objects, lighting and furniture, whether it be young or internationally recognised talent. On the international arts calendar, Artifact is THE highlight for lovers of new forms, unique objects or limited series that were designed and created by means of an innovative, artisanal process.
