This new European Prize for Applied Arts 2009 is somehow a follow-up to the competition
"European Prize for Contemporary Art- and Design-Led Crafts" once happening 1998
in Vienna/Austria, initiated and organised by WCC-Europe and with venues in Paris/France,
Gothenburg/Sweden and Brussels/Belgium.
In 2009 the idea of the competition has been taken up by WCC-Belgium Francophone and
the City of Mons/Belgium. WCC-Europe is very grateful for this most valuable initiative.
Competition and exhibition of the new "European Prize for Applied Arts"
hopefully will be happening every three years from now on. Such are the plans.......
